Dodo ra's website has been dead for a few days. Did they go belly up? Was it too much viral marketing? :)

I think that is it. That spam machine guy (already forgot his name) turned off every potential customer on earth and probably killed them!

Yup, me - I like them and their support a lot to. Didn't notice they were down but I didn't have the time to install their API's either. DirectI.com is often down to - but that's another story.

It's just me however, I like checking out all new registrars but they do have their ups and downs :)

I believe the diagnosis was... belly up, from too much spam.

As I had been having ISP problems this past week, I wasn't sure if it was from my end or theirs.

I never got spammed by them via email. Anyway, I was waiting on their turn-key operation. I had a couple of lenghty phone conversations with Ron, the owner. He sounded like he had nice ideas. The $6.50 reg price with hardly any money up front sounded attractive to me.

I had been waiting on their turnkey operation. Then I had read on the site that the only way I could put money in account was via wire transfer and would take 5 or so business days for them to get it. That part totally turned me off.

Wow. I'd actually been talking to them about an integration a few months ago, but went down the eNom route instead. Looks like a good decision. It was their conduct here and at WHT (one of their reps was recently banned there too I believe) that put me off along with the poor API docs.

You never know though, maybe they're just taking a breather.

I had been using enom as well before dodo came around and I'm very happy with it so far. I also belong to bulk register and startgate. I'm getting away from stargate though.

That guy who had been posting about dodo was Ron's brother who doesn't know much about forums and didn't know better that there are rules.

Maybe he is having problems with the programmers he's been working with.

Oh well, I guess we'll see if it surfaces sooner or later. I like the idea of regging for $6.50:) Although one of my enom accounts is at $6.95, I'm not the parent reseller of that one and have no clue who the parent is.
