In the 90's Dan focused his attention exclusively on the .com name space.
In 2000, when the Canadian Internet Registration Authority liberalized its rule of allowing only one domain name registration per company, Dan used the knowledge and experience he had garnered in the .com namespace to secure some of the earlest and best .ca domains ever available.

In 2002, Dan concieved and launched DomainTrader.ca, one of the first and now Canada's longest operating domain name trading and brokerage site.

Dan is well known in the domain name community and is a staunch advocate for domainers rights while calling for the ethical use of domains in commerce.
