The "Domain Registry of America" is back in the hi-jacking business with phony "renewal" notices. Although they were shut down last year, they've opened shop again as an Enom reseller.

Enom is aware of the situation and disclaims responsibility for it.

If you have received phony "renewal" notices from Domain Registry of America, or if you know of people whose domain names were slammed, please send information to [email protected]

John I seen your post the other day about Enom in bed with their re-seller DRA using the slamming technique.

Very very sad what greed does to people.

Enom "is" "was" suppose to be the registrar that we all wanted to use because they were above this nonsense..these were things that we would expect for the register.coms of the world.

Good luck in your efforts

I get several of them weekly and didn't realize it was such a big issue. I have gotten probably four or five in the past two weeks and I just always throw them away. Should I be saving the letters from now on for you?

I get a few from domain registry of Canada from time to time. Don't have any now because they went un-opened into the shredder.

Hi John. I also get them regularly. I also toss them immediately. I'll save the next one for you!

They go out of their way to make it look very official, and there's even add-on products you can order. They list these as "Optional", which by implication suggests that renewing through them is "not optional".

Pretty Slimy!

Yeah, me too, had a couple in the last week or so and ripped them to shreds as soon as I saw them. I'll let you know if (when) I get more.

I shredded them as quick as they are received. However, I am scanning the shreds, 4 or 5 shreds a page. :-D :-D Good luck re-connecting them.

I've still got my one, John, with others undoubtedly on the way... If you want a scan, do you want the envelope, inside sheet (both sides?) and/or the reply envelope?

If I get a bundle sometime it may just be easier to send them via postal mail.

Man, this is tougher than Nigerian scambaiting. I would like to see what Enom is sending out.

Scan, postal mail, pony express, courier pigeon... whatever works for you is fine with me.

Front and back of notice scanned, uploaded and links emailed.

Let me know if you also want the envelopes (mailing or reply) scanned.
