If anyone else here frequents reddit.com (and even if you don't) I thought the comments in this thread provide some great insight into how people unfamiliar with the domain industry perceive the buying and selling of domains.

Here's the page with the comments on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/8etxh/wtf_domain_squatters_i_tried_to_buy/

The poster is upset that someone registered a generic domain that they wanted (thislittlepiggy.com) and is asking for a minimum offer of $2500.

Who cares if people unfamiliar with the domain industry perceive the buying and selling of domains...if they want a domain they need to pay $$$$

This is a great example of how Ignorance is NOT Bliss - just Ignorance (an all too common phenom across the World).

It's just some person crying over their insecure jealousy of others to be smarter than them in a legitimate global free market economy.

Typical.

Question: Could Most Wanted Domains sue this person for slander/libel (whichever it is to write such false things (ie: being called a 'squatter'))?

The best way to destroy ignorant people is ignore them.

Yeah, okay. A famous Mother Goose Tale for $30 bucks.

Been regged since 2003. Doesn't even cover their renewal fees.

I think that is a stretch.

What is the definition of squatter?

Being that it is a parked page, it might loosely fit someone's definition of a squatter.
