I am interested in your opinions on a little tool I have been working on. I would appreciate it if it wasn't mentioned outside this private forum.

http://testing.codewalkers.com/drops/search.php

It features most of your standard drop tool features. I also break down the results into sets of 100 and have a javascript button that will allow you to copy those 100 results and easily paste them elsewhere (like snapnames advanced search box). The javascript bit only works in IE however.

If you have any suggestions or criticisms, I would appreciate it.

That's very strange...I can't reproduce that. Can you tell me what you are clicking on to get that?

Very nice tool! I've bookmarked it. I like the quick cut-n-paste facility.

Matt,

Very nice tool....I've also bookmarked it.....when I use the copy button and dropped them into the Dropwizard checker(for instance), there were no line breaks, so it was pasted as one large file name....when I just copied and pasted by highlighting and Ctrl-c, Ctrl-p, it pasted fine.....I'm using IE 5.5.

Nice job.

Thanks...it looks like drop wizard does not recognize a space as a seperator, whereas snap names does. I'll see what I can change to accomodate both...

It depends on what you click. If you click 'Only Dictionary Words' , the whole domain name must be a single dictionary word. Try unclicking that and I bet you get results....

How ironic. It looks VERY SIMILIAR to http://www.snaganame.com that I released to the forum over 3 weeks ago. Oh well. Competition will come but true experience will outlast all competition. We are averaging almost 1,000 searches a day, planning $39.50 snaps, and tieing into several registrars for drops. Good luck though. :)

I did notice your tool also. Don't worry about me being competition however. I am just a programmer looking for something interesting to code ;)

I have added a neat little feature that will add a button to each domain that will pop open a new window and show overture suggestions tools results however...check it out :)

Yeah we are working on yahoo ranking, overture results, alexa ranking, the snaps, and the drops. Good luck with your tool though. :)

Currently I am getting them from the drop club over at enom...

I just recently got ftp access to the zone files, so I am thinking of processing those to make my own lists....
