Well, if you learn your domaining at Namepros, that is what you get for your money!

Sad, absolutely. A problem? No, they will learn a great deal from this.

Sorry, but it is clearly stated in the auction description that the domain is an IDN and if someone bids on it, thinking they are bidding on DUBAI.COM, they are simply plain stupid. I have no idea how the domain could get even a $60 bid though.

Either way....plain stupid or not...someone bought a worthless domain most likely because they trusted what they saw on the screen at sedo and did not read the description.

looking after the auction, when the discription is removed does hold a level of visual deception. And when you see DotComGod posting, your eyes may bring a little more with you than if joe-The-first-time-poster posted.

my gut tells me that who ever bid is not a domainer and totally unaware what an idn is.

By the way, your avatar...the background looks like the Duomo in Florence, Italy.

1.6k for a domain that won't get type in traffic? (it won't, will it???)

Wow, you're good! :) It was taken during a trip to Italy last summer. Florence was great.

The architecture is very distinct as well as the design elements on the building.

Florence is one of my favorite places in Italy along with Venice. For a former Art Major (primarily Commercial Art with minor in Fine Arts and Art History) it is the Renassaince art capital of the world.

I just wanted to know if that was not the Duomo, what on earth could it be.

Not saying that to impress (aw, shucks) but I actually noticed the avatar the other night.

Looking back, the Renaissance was very difficult initially but I have a much greater appreciation for it.

And WOW, was security tight when I was there a couple of years ago. Not to mention my wife and I caught two gypsy pickpockets trying to steal her money belt acting like one had tripped and fallen onto my wife.

It is a scam because I deeply think the buyers are being misled.
Do you really believe all the 21 bidders knew what they were buying?

Unlike SEDO, on forums sales we can post more info, maybe that would help.
