This is what I have been telling .com only people for a long time.
I totally believe in diversification and have names in all of the major extensions. .com is great and I have never suggested otherwise. I have also done well this year reselling .orgs, an extension a lot of others don't like. Of the newer extensions I think .us has the most potential for return on investment (and as the newest extension still has the best remaining names) so I talk about it a lot and have regged many myself.
If you go 100% .us though, you probably give up current sales for at least the next couple of years. If you are going to be a domain dealer it seems to me you would be smart to carry all of the name brands, just like Wal-Mart (though if you insist on carrying the cheap knockoff brands like .ws and .cc, you will have to open up a Dollar store!)
