$1.00 off a cool million for a domain name that probably wouldnt even register for $9.00 if it was still available

the only winners here are ebay - does the owner actually think that someone would pay one million dollars for this

why, why, and of course why are the questions you have to ask here

It's the new Ebay policy of changing from an auction house to a circus that made me give up trading there a few months ago.

No, the owner doesn't think someone will pay a million for it. What he/she thinks will happen is that someone will see it because of it's ridiculous price and privately email them for something "a bit smaller". Of course that will never happen with this name.

In the "good ole days" of 1999-00, people used to throw up those kind of figures on their domains to attract attention from the media. Do you remember the 10Million dollar "y2k" name??

In the end eBay does win, that is what made it a success:
Playing off the dreams and pocket books of "dreamers".

Nothing wrong with "Dreamers". I myself am I dreamer, but am also a realist. Does that make me a "oxymoron" ? :laugh:
