My humble newbie-opionion: Get rid of that domain while you can. Trademark issues (check at www.nameprotect.com).

Otherwise of course awesome name!

Very risky couse of the TM issue :( It happened before that owner had to transfer domain to them and they might even sue you further and that might cost the owner more than he can imagine. I think 1K is more than fair price for any TM domain..

One way this will not be a problem is if the new owner of eminem.net devtes the site to eminem (as expected) and generates additional publicity and following for the artist while maintaining a high level of respec for him.

The second the website starts bashing or allowing others to bash the performer, things can get nasty.

The seller should ahve included that into the auction condition:

"The winning bidder agrees not to... blah blah blah"

Hey Bob,

Wow, has it been a year? It's funny how you've posted the link to me here but I never really visited it here. Then, I happen to stumble upon it through google today.

I think you got the facts mixed up. I was the one taking the beating. It'll take a long time for me to recover, ah I can't think straight anymore...

You better inform the new owner, that there are possible trade mark issues, and they are buying at their own risk! It is the wise thing to do. In other words, cover your legal butt!

What is your reserve set at? $1,025 sounds like more than a fair price to me. Especially because of the legal issues.

i'd read up on the tupac decision for some tips on how to keep hold of a name like this.

its not an exact like for like case but worthy of a look

I don't have the link but i'm sure some of our esteemed members could rustle it up for you.

I read up on the tupac case...interesting.

Yes, I think I did set the reserve a little too high. However, I happen know the sale of eminem.org was over double the price set at ebay for eminem.net now. So, I'm pretty sure it will go for higher than it is set at now.

If I sell the domain, I will warn the new owner of the potential trademark problem. Thanks all for your help guys.
