Yes it would be reputation suicide! A VERY BAD MOVE..
The only acceptable case of "raising" prices would be ENOM imposing a (new) minimum price on the parent resellers themselves.
One glitch related to this is the way ENOM "introduces" new TLD's. Resellers need to set prices in a timely manner in leu of agreement addenda to child resellers
specifically regarding pricing of the new TLD's. To avoid confusion, I try to set prices for new TLD's within about 24 hours from the time of new TLD introduction.
