I today received notice that Enom had attempted to charge (luckily was old card) my Visa card $ 10 for something called " goMobi" that 100% I had NOT ordered EVER. I rang them and they said something like "it is set by default and then after trial period we charge". In other words they are conning people .

What can be done about this because no doubt they are doing this to everyone and hoping large numbers do not realise. I only realised because I got email saying it had failed.

Yes - when you order something there, they often add that free GoMobi trial (followed by automatic monthly billing) to your cart, so if you're not paying close attention, you may order it without realizing it. I made that mistake once, and now I have to remember to look at my cart every time. Enom should be ashamed. (I think GoDaddy does something similar with free hosting trials that then turn into monthly bills.)

The fact is I saw them offering me that couple weeks ago and I UNticked it, 100%. I think they are ignoring that "no" and just charging you. The fact is they do not charge at the time, they apparently give you a free trial and then spring the charge when you are not looking !!. THAT is crooked and Enom ARE crooks, I will not deal with them ever again by choice.

I sold GoMobi.com to mTLD last year. I thought this thread is about their service when I saw the title. LOL
Call your cc issuer, it might help.

eNom are scammers from way back. I remember years ago when I had most of my domains there and they overcharged me for ICANN fees.

They said they "credited" my account. Sure enough, in the interface was a "credit" for the amount. The catch was, there was no way to redeem it! It couldn't be redeemed for services, and, it couldn't be put back on my credit card. I called the manager "Russ," and he told me there was nothing he could do.

So, I moved my thousands of domains out and never looked back. So glad I did!
