TLD stands for Top Level DOMAIN, but you say it is about domain??
Of course it is extension part, but also an important part of appraisal and makes sense to me.
SLD without TLD can't be appraised, besides TLD is more recognazible.
E.g. GenericTLD.com is even senseless, but makes it.
