The big problem is that none of the big expired domain players offer affiliate setups other than snapnames and I guess GD.
ADam
I know a lot of domain blogs do that, linking out to GD for affiliate commissions and such. I know most of the traffic will just be to register domains but I wonder how many sign up for some of the other stuff GoDaddy pushes. I know they have an indy program and one at CJ and looking at what they pay:
$65.00 USD on Item List: 12 Month Economy Shared Hosting Plans
$105.00 USD on Item List: 12 Month Deluxe, Premium, Dedicated, Virtual Dedicated Hosting Plans
$30.00 USD on Item List: Basic Reseller Plan
$50.00 USD on Item List: Pro Reseller Plans
$70.00 USD on Item List: Super Reseller Plans
$50.00 USD on Item List: Custom Logo Design
5.00% on Item List: Domain Name Aftermarket - Expired & Value Priced
1.00% on Item List: Domain Name Aftermarket - Escrow & Transaction Assurance
2.00% on Item List: Domain Name Aftermarket - Premium
50.00% on Item List: Standard SSL Certificates
A bite here and there on some of that bigger stuff can pay off nicely not to mention if they do volume on just domains being registered. Don't think it would take too long to recoup what somebody paid for that domain, provided they put up a quality site.
