For Sale Expiring Domain Software - Which are good?

Hostile, indeed, but less than completely informed.

Here is what I propose;

When this software is complete, we select a number of unbiased users to run them all head-to-head.

I already own DR, so myself and other DR and PD owners know what the facts are.

You can dispute this all you want, and send all the mud flying you want, but it does not improve the software.

I am aware your system is evolving, for example you are adding Alexa soon.

Now, I am not sure who suggested this, but Alexa data is of almost no real value to traffic domain traders, as the ratings are between 60 and 180 days old, which is years in this business.

I understand that is no fault of the programmer, as he is being misguided, that’s all.

Rather than lash out, why not listen and here what traders are looking for. Traders other than the one that suggested using DMOZ???? ( constant flush of data) and Alexa. Listen to all of them.

I know the speed because I have run both. It’s that simple. If there was a good program out there, I would not bother to develop another, particularly when I made it quite clear that I have no intention of selling it.

Must have missed that part, huh?

In any event, we have been contact by 2 and they have the data on the way to them. 1/2 way there. :>)

Cheers, and for crying out loud, cool off.

Joe,

Rather than lash out, why not listen and here what traders are looking for. Traders other than the one that suggested using DMOZ???? ( constant flush of data) and Alexa. Listen to all of them.

Those two new features were the only two suggestions
we've received (for the lastest update).

We're not misinformed. We know perfectly well that
Alexa search rankings are useless. We implemented those
features because our clients REQUESTED them.

Your software will be completely different because it
will not be written for many users, so you can just add
the features that fit YOUR NEEDS and you'll be good to
go.

We have to adopt the software to fit the needs of hundreds
of clients. I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from.

I'm not sure what you mean "traders have to say". If you're
refering to domain professionals then we ARE listening
to what they have to say. In fact, features suggested by
members of this forum (Duke, etc) have been implemented
(keyword filtering, etc).

I'd be happy to hear the suggestions you have Joe :)

Thanks,
Luc L.

i just bought domain retriever today and at least it works, although slower than i would like. I wasted $149 on popular domains, and the software would not even work, yet the company still ran my credit card and too money out of my account very effectively.

Stay away from popular domains and lee / domainguru, the charlatan who is ripping hardworking domain buyers like me off.

Domain retriever is highly recommended and tested and at least you are getting something for your money (instead of wasting your time trying to get your money back).

Diogenes,

Great thanks for the positive feedback.

I'd strongly recommend that you redownload your
version of Domain-Retriever as we have just released 2.0.

This new version features "Turbo Search",
"Availability Only Search", "Alexa Only Search",
filter by maximum alexa rating, filter by minimum
link popularity and much more.

Check it out and if you find and bugs please e-mail
[email protected] ASAP so we can fix them.

Great thanks and enjoy!

cyphix,

DR is used to generate your own Traffic, Alexa, Available and
Search engine listed domains in real time.

DomainsBot presents the same results to all their clients, so
chances are that a domain you might be interested in is no longer
available (since so many people dig through the lists).

There are a lot of differences but the best way to compare them
is to download the DR demo and check it out.

Thanks,
Luc L.

AvailableDomains

Not bad, but not that good either.

Seems to use an outdated domain database
for all the domain searches (literally outdated,
most of the domains scanned were registered).

Crashed after scanning 14 domains.

I didn't see a way to download the latest expired/on-hold
domains.

Seems to have a lot of features, but nothing really
practical.

illusionist,

You suggest that we should change the limit to say 20? 30
minutes? Done, but out of the 300+ demo downloads you're
the only one to complain about that.

I have a feeling that you will find something else to complain
about as soon as you download the new copy.

If you're sick of using the DEMO version of the software then
purchase the full version, it's only $74.99.

If you're sick of using our software, by all means purchase
Popular-Domains, it's only $149.99 and highly unstable!

Best of luck!

Sorry, but no 10 day periods. You have as long as you want
to check it out (it has no expiration date) but it will quit
after 30 minutes, which should be MORE than enough
time to evaluate it.

Good luck!
