"The real question is not how much a domain name costs but how much value the right domain name can bring to your business"

Dcg:
your wouldn't take financial advice from someone that struggles from paycheck to paycheck so --- never take domain advice from someone that has never sold a 6-7 figure name.

I liked this statement from Owen Frager's blog today:

Yes the domain world is changing all around us. And it's great to still be aboard for its big landing smack in the heart of mainstream. It's also great seeing domainers with a dream based on what they knew at the time of registration, and a whole new opportunity pop up for names applied to meet new needs you may never have considered back in the day.

would do well for vanity E-mail addresses :)

You know, they are so long they don't fit in sign-up forms and you don't get spam

The only thing that you get from following the herd is a trail of bull****.

I know it was said elsewhere before but it is quite apt when it comes to domaining. :)

So, X-rated websites have been given the approval to have the XXX domain name?

Surely it's going to confuse some people when they're shopping for clothes online...

Thought about reigniting this old thread.

I'll start... again...

"Sometimes they (domain sellers) get an offer and turn it down. Then, they get kicked around a block a little bit and eventually return. But at that stage - it is too late." /Ryan Ewen/

.. Ryan is known for occasional high wholesale offers for a domain name or a portfolio, and, if not accepted immediately > will not return to it >> the next offer will be lower or there will be no offer whatsoever.

I've seen it a number of times - many times try warning domainers when introducing Ryan to them of this possible scenario.. ahhhh.. have seen the advice not taken many times :(
