FIX The $1 Auction Forum

I am getting tired of people editing their auctions to suit their needs.

I am asking that the $1.00 auction forum to be fixed to where once you post a sale, you can not edit it for any reason. If they screw up in the listing, lock it.

That is the only way to have true $1.00 auctions just like over at the other site.

i think the $1 auctions work reasonably well, given the price range and no profit for dnforum too. I think its what we as a community make of it?

If someone is not following this rule then report the post - we can check back at editing history and only admins & mods will know who reported it (and we don't tattle ).

People should know the risks when posting in the $1 auction. If they have a minimum price in mind, then it should not be in the $1 auctions.

Edit: Also, if you did "win" the auction and the seler changed the terms or canceled the auction (which they should not be doing) you can leave them appropriate feedback.

Sterling - I think I found the auction in question and I checked the edit history - the end date was never changed, the seller only added the descriptions to each domain. (vcvc etc..).

Even if the seller didnt change this auction, it still needs to be fixed. It is only right.

If it is to hard to impliment, I could understand. But not doing it because "it's just $1 auctions" simply isn't right.

It prevents sellers from changing the auction terms and the buyer from changing the auction bids.

Thanks Draggar...This is what I stated in my auction thread. There's no need to lie/cheat for a buck Sterling.

Theres no need in convincing me the auction end time wasnt changed, I believe draggar.

I am only saying NOW, that it has to be addressed. If another major forum feels its right, and the users of another forum feel its right, then it must be right? Right?

Like I said, if its that hard to impliment, forget it. But, it would just be another great reason to use and trust these auctions if implimented.

Totally agree Sterling...there has to be complete transparency for this to work fairly.

And may I ask why we can't end the auction 48 hours after the last bid? This is a great way to get more bids in my opinion.

The $1 auctions work great. the only way to get more bids would be a way to notify all bidders, and any subscribed to that thread, that it was about to end - an hour or two or three before it ends. that kind of email notification would be great.

Any seller could do that manually, as well. Or DNF could make a tool that says 'PM every person in this thread' - that might be interesting.
