Am i the only one who thinks that bid is shown to increase the shown value of the domain so that it can get the highest bid possible? ofcourse they want yahoo to see it and consider buying the domain..

on a side note whenever i think of yahoo and big decisions it has to make the first thing which comes to my mind is that its CEO didn't even have a email when he became the ceo of yahoo.

now watch Yahoo change the name of Flickr to "Yahoo Photos", and Flicker.com will be left selling lighters and bird books.

Actually YAHOO is doing the opposite - changing Yahoo Photos to Flickr
see here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/photos/photos2/closing/
Maybe that's the reason he got this up for sale since April

Now if this 600k offer is real and was rejected that means owner has some serious reasons:

- maybe already took legal advice from more than one top lawyer and assured that Y! has no case if puts name up for sale
- predicted that as soon as Y! switches Y! Photos the traffic will be tribled or more...I am sure whoever sent an offer would have been informed about this

then doing some maths he set a BIN price and is giving that maths and legal advices to the ones with high offers.

at any case I would have sell at any offer more than 200k but it all comes down to the RISK you are taking with Y! and how far u want to go
