You have identified a good niche in this current bad economy where freelance work is probably the sanest thing to do for those who were retrenched.

freelancework.com would have been a killer, but it has been taken. It appears to be in the process of development.

It may be a good idea to approach the owner of this domain with that name, and sell him the rationale for why he could benefit from double branding with your name. $500 may be a reasonable sum if you have charm and this closes.

I notice that freelanceforum.com is taken by Buydomains.com. Remember that when you pitch your name.

Chase the buyer. That's the name of the game today.
