Nevermind, I said that was my last post. You trapped me with another argument of development verses worth of the domain name.

i saw gametype listed as a premium domain and had a gd coupon.
Huh ? Premium according to whom ? Sellers all think their domains are premium.

in a developers eyes this domain is valuable for a shop.

these domains sound good and if you develop them right, it could earn you good money like gamesellout. you have no idea
That's the problem, the domain needs to be developed but it has no built-in value.
A domain appraisal is an extrapolation of how much the domain could sell for, undeveloped to an end user.
Again, we are appraising raw domains, not websites or ideas.

But since the domain name was available, it's a telltale sign nobody would even pick it for $10. But good luck.

Dude, why come to this pro domainer forum and ask for opinions if you're going to argue with them and ridicule them?

Many of us thought we knew better than everybody else when we joined here. We were wrong.

Best thing for a newbie to do here - just like anywhere - is keep your ears open & mouth closed for a while, until you start to gain a tiny fraction of the knowledge that's available here.

Or, alternatively, you can act like they're idiots and you know everything. Maybe not the best way to get ahead ... but it's your call.

As a fellow Noob my suggestion is "don't ask a question you don't want to hear the answer too"

These guys are very experienced I'm sure and don't have time to massage your ego by telling you it's good if their personal opinion is it's not. They are actually trying to save you time and money.

Don't take it so personally and maybe listen. My suggestion would be to develop it if you think it's good and if it's a success re-post your results and earn some respect, I'm sure the same guys would be prepared to tell you they were wrong if you prove otherwise. At the end of the day it's a $2 name, what a cheap learning experience.

EDIT

BTW DCristo & Biggie (and others not on this thread) were kind enough to give me their opinion on my domain. Was it what I wanted to hear? No. Did it sting a little? Yes. But I truly believe they were trying to help me. Now I am reading a huge amount more & have basically stopped buying domains until I learn more. This forum has stopped me buying names that were shite, thank God. It has saved me money and probably already paid for itself in 1 week. Will I continue to make mistakes? Definitely. But I will learn and eventually I'll make less. Crikey I may even make some money one day.

Good luck mate

Jamie
