Well at this point I am comfortable to say after another fake press release now at $2.5M it is never going to happen. The ole JP knows when he smells absolute BS ( see first pages ) .

Sorry to the seller, you got used big time. SO much so I would sue. He has greatly damaged your reputation and the names. Of course if you were in on it you deserved it, here's hoping you weren't. Not a thing reported about this name will ever be believed now imo.

Yesterday people lost billions on stock plunges and you killed a repeat letter .com . What could happen next ?

I was on the fence as to whether the deal would close - but as JP's spidey sense is tingling then I'm with him!

Time will tell...

Has anyone noticed that the whois updated to dn-capital.com, though dn-capital.com was created in dec of 2007 and ss.com is one of the only domain names listed on the site. I think this is an obvious hoax by the seller.

Noooooooo. You think ?

Pathetic. Greed will never cease to amaze me. You see it over and over again on Deal or no Deal ( tv game show ) , in every day life etc. This name is easily in excess of $150k plus on todays market. Mind you the market from what I see is soft due to the economy in the US. Point is a profit of $10k $50k etc isnt enough, we need $100k $500k $1M etc. I am 110% for maximizing a roi but when the roi has been maximized and the day is done, market has spoken and so on looking beyond that IS greed. Especially when one would go through such trouble. Each circumstance is different but I have never seen greed in my life like in this market. I actually and quote me on this... should the US economy not turn around within the year the domain market will suffer greatly. Oil is up, consumer spending down, bankruptcy on the rise, housing market falling... end users will become harder to find. We forget what starts the process and leads to ddomain values.

It changed to DN-Capital.com already in December, not now?
DN-Capital.com was regged Dec 17, and whois for ss.com changed Dec 18. How can that be a hoax by the seller, when he sold it now, 3 months later?
Obviously the domain hasn't yet changed hands to the new owner.

ok. i'm a bit lost here.
i checked the really bad name the ihateXXXXXXXXX one

it was only regged on 12th march, so that loooks like was regged for cause and effect

can the seller come on here and explain some things?
i'm guessing the seller must have negotiated by phone on this deal as a large deal, can he supply more details etc

those names , the ihatexxxx one are regged to winna.com
that was regged in 98, but could have been recently bought etc
this is gonna run and run i think

If this is a hoax perpetrated by the seller, is he going to be banned from this forum? Are the mods aware of this?

There is no crime, it's all about morals and ethics.

No, I don't get the point here... The whois for ss.com is the same it's been the last 3 months, so it hasn't formally changed hands yet. What are you accusing the seller of? I see nothing wrong in anything he has done here.
I see no connection between him and the alleged buyer, in any of the domain info, anywhere. The seller obviously owns DN Capital, NOT the buyer.

Has anyone also noticed that :

- ihate****ingniggers.com created 2008-03-12
- itsbiggerthanyouthink.com created 2008-03-05
- Most of his domains acquired in 2007
- Why ss.com whois still pointing to the seller?

And if we add this Press Release
Geaney.com refuses offer for US$2.5 million dollars for SS.com

And Rockefeller's earlier post

This guy sent an email to dnjournal, cnet, adam dicker, and myself directing us to his press release. Why would you want Cnet and other major news sites reporting this?

85% I believe the whole thing was just to grab attention to flip SS.com for higher price than $1.25 mil.

Comin' .. Why you will announce huge sale like this before you have the domain in your hands. And the next day you refuse a sale for US$2.5 million !!

Sorry, I don't buy the whole thing anymore!
