I wanted to try an exercise here, and ask those of you who have experience buying and selling town, city, or country .coms, what you paid or received per population unit. Not asking anyone to list the actual domain, just a figure.

For example, I've bought decent European city.coms at 0.018 - 0.025 cents per population unit, that was about 3 years ago.

This is a morbid curiosity exercise only, I'm well aware geo domain value factors vary far and wide. I encourage everyone to participate, even if your experience is/was with a very small town.com. Only list figures for domains such as town.com, city.com, or country.com. No hotelcity.com, or statecity.com type domains, etc. Also please list a continent / general geographic location, so we can look for any possible trends.

For some Italian cities is 0.010 - 0.012 cents per population unit.
Much depends if the city is a turism locality or not.

Paid .014 and .075 for actual pop.

however both are tourist destinations with 2 million and 3 million so based on tourism I stole them imo.

I'd probably pay anywhere from $.50 - $5.00+ per person for US city .com domain names. This obviously depends greatly on the city of course. Lowell, MA and Burbank, CA have very close to the same amount of residents, but I paid more for Burbank because of the attractions, studios, airport, businesses, hotels, tourists...etc.

Peru.

Two examples - Departments.

I paid 0.0002 per person 3 years ago for one and 0.004 2 years ago.

I sold a city for 0.015 a year ago.

I have picked up most of my cities for reg fee or cheaply in auctions ($60 or less).

e.g. One city with 108,000 population for $13.50 reg fee (0.00012 per person).
