I am setting up a handful of PPC sites for my son for spending money while he is at college. I want the Adsense account to be in his name for tax reasons. Used to be that it was almost difficult to get an Adsense account as one of your sites had to be manually approved, do they still do that? I doubt they are going to approve one of these PPC sites if they still manually review. Otherwise I am thinking I will need to take one of my developed sites, change the registration and submit that, then add these other sites once approved. Any recent experiences?

It's nearly impossible to get an Adsense account. I've been trying for over a year, and submitted 2 applications early this week. I'm managing over 8,000 domain names, so I guess that's not enough. I'm VERY dissapointed that I've wasted so much time with them. Good luck. And Good luck getting paid.

Are you being sarcastic? I have not had any problems setting up my account. It took just a couple days to get approved. Lots of very small sites get approved for adsense and I have never heard of anyone having an issue.

Not at all... the excuse this week for rejection was that I put my company name on the account (a business account), since it says that checks will be made out only to that name. I can't have them send checks made out to me, or I'll get the tax hit on my personal taxes rather than corporate. This time they told me to submit a whole new application.

We'll see what the rejection excuse is next week...

getting accepted to adsense is terribly easy. If you are having problems, don't think that it is because of big bad google.

It wasn't a problem for me the first time around but I had a premium content site as my primary site. I was hoping they were pretty much rubber stamping everything that applied.

I had a problem once, since the site I submitted was down due to me server. I e-mailed them and they got back to me right away accepting the account. I have a large supply of small sites. I've never heard of any serious problems getting accepted.

You won't get accepted with a PPC site, as it is against their terms and conditions. AdSense is only permitted on sites with content. But any half decent site with a handful of content rich pages should get you accepted, you could probably rustle up something in a couple of hours.

PM me if you need a hand...

Thanks for the offer. They've rejected TheNameStore.com and WhoAmI.info even though there are Adsense ads running on sites similar to both of those. I'm working on more as I type this to see if I can get them to accept anything at all, but I'm losing hope at this point and glad to see that Yahoo is coming out with a competing system.

There are Adsense ads running on sites similar to those, but that doesn't mean that people applied with those sites. Both of the sites that you mentioned don't have much content. NameStore is a store, while WhoAmI is just a single page. Set something up with 5 or 6 pages of unique content, and you will get accepted quickly. Once you're accepted, you can put the ads where ever you want.

Well my PPC sites do have 200-300 pages of content, and 2-3 adsense blocks on each page. I have sites that can get approved, I was just trying to figure out if I needed to go through gymnastics of basically a bait and switch.

I recently helped a member of this forum get an Adsense account by designing a website for him, he submitted the site and got accepted right away with it...
