...people with little exposure to other accents (incl. the so-called "BBC English" which itself is arguably only one of the many accents now) very often find it hard to understand Englishes from other places...

Well, I'm an American hillbilly, and of all the "Englishes" I've ever heard, including Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, German, French, Iranian, British, Irish, Australian, etc, the most unintelligible version I ever heard was spoken in the hills of Scotland, and the only reason I call it English is that that's what everyone told me they were speaking. It sounded more like choking to me, and I mean no disrespect to any Scots, most of whom have "accents" I find very appealing.

I can not answer that question without having what looks like a racist post.
And since I believe every single person on this planet is equal, as I have been taught in my country, my reply would not be productive.

That's a smart way of expressing a racist opinion without being accused of racizm. LOL

Are you sure the 60 day lock applies to all changes?
I changed the nameservers for a .org and about 30 days later I transfered it fine.

As long as you haven't renewed them in the past 60 days.I sent a inquiry to support their response

jim
Dear Jim,
Thank you for contacting customer service. Since the domain name was renewed, you would need to wait the 60 Day security period before it can be transferred successfully. Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

It appears that ..through... multiple support emails that renewing,Changing the name, including just the middle initial, or company in the contact information will start the 60 day period.

Dear Jim,

Thank you for contacting customer support. Changing the name servers and phone number for the domain will not start the 60 days. Changing the name, including just the middle initial, or company in the contact information will start the 60 day period.

Sounds perfectly fine to me..in fact I am going to use it as my new security measure and once everyday 60 days I will change my midlle initial to help ward of hijack attempts ;) !

simply rotate your names so that you always have names availble for sale and others always coming up for sale (transferable)

GREAT! Eagerly looking forward to transfer that lone domain of mine away from GoDaddy in about 3 weeks' time. :)

Actually that is something I intended to post a few days ago and is an ideal security measure with double protection. You get protected by the regular lock and even if the lock is removed the name is still protected from transfer.

If I decide to keep my names at GD/WW (not sure about that) I will be doing exactly that every 60 days, just adding a comma or dot or middle initial to registrant field.

P.S. A picture book case of turning a negative in to a positive!
