CEO Bob Parsons stating “In spite of a few early difficulties - GoDaddy.com successfully processed a huge, record-setting level of registrations. To the best of our knowledge, there have never been more registrations handled in one day during the ordinary course of businesses by any registrar in history.”

Yeah, there were more registrations, with thousands getting refunded...

Self-serving tripe.

Another example as of late to Why GoDaddy is as pathetic as they are.

Lack of Integrity is as Lack of Integrity does.

Question: What New definition of 'success' is GoDaddy using?
IMO, GoDaddy is only making itself look like a Joke by having to blow wind up their own butts.

How many other independent Internet groups/registrars support GoDaddy's claim? I dare say 0 - but by all means, prove me wrong Bob (-:

Anyone here speak Montenegrin? I found a couple of forum threads about the ccTLD launch searching Google.rs. Have been wondering what their take on it is.

So is there a pattern forming with new TLD's - each time one goes live, there is a rush of some kind, perhaps mostly domainers (and 'would be' domainers) snapping them up, only later to find out that the vast majority are worthless?

Will we see more of that as ICANN releases more and more TLD's? Its interesting.

10 years from now, if there are 500 or 5,000 new TLD's, will this forum be full of people trying to sell sex(.)PodunkCity and Domainer(.)PayPerClick or Business(.)IsGreat?

Its already kind of diluted feeling already, isn't it? So traffic and focus will get more and more spread out. It sure feels like .com will be the main one under this model and the rest wont matter.

Exactly, domainers are followers... always falling victims (?) to the hype in their quest of the 'next big thing', landrush after landrush.
