at dynadot you can opt for transfer prohibited and sleep well. still, whoever got your domains probably did not had a chance with all the protection and securities there are.

Would I be right in thinking that in the USA you have such an offence
as "possession or handling of stolen goods" ?. Since I believe domains
have been ruled to be Property perhaps the new registrar is guilty of
possession or handling of stolen goods , particularly once he knows
they are claimed to be stolen ?.

In theory yes you're right.
But in the real world these criminal scammers never go to jail.
This is the problem with domain scam.

Hey I had the exact same thing happen a few years back and I never recovered my domains. I opened a new godaddy acct. and that night started receiving emails with attachments. The email subjects are "my resume for the post of counceller" or "resume for the post" (actual subject lines). Im sure this is related. Sorry to hear that, its a major blow to lose an acct like that.

I managed to recover the domains at godaddy, problem is I have also had domains taken from namescout, eurodns and resellerclub, domains where parked at sedo, I wrote to them and they have now changed them to namedrive, seems the person knows what he is doing, he went through all my email and found accounts domains everything :(

If anybody can recommend a good attorney experienced in this matters, I would like to try to prosecute him and have him punished.

Thanks
