Hallo everyone!

Is anybody of you a GoDaddy / WildWestDomains reseller? I'm currently
looking for a good reseller program to take part in. WWD's reseller program
sounds quite interesting. Does anybody in here have some experiences
with them? How's the branding, billing, etc.? Does it all work fine? Thanks
for answering my questions!

By the way, if you know a better reseller program please let me know.
But it must offer PayPal payments for both me and my customers!

Thanks again!

I would go for DNF's own reseller program.
GD/WWD competes directly with its own customers.
As far as I am concerned, they have lost my trust a long time ago in this department.

Hallo Seeker,

Thanks for your fast reply! I've already registered with DNF's program, but
I'm quite concerned about their support. There are many questions and
issues posted in the Power Windows section here at DNF, but none of the
admins has posted any answer so far! In addition they say they offer a
24/7 support, but I haven't received an answer, neither, although I've posted
my questions several hours ago (I've even sent them an e-mail). And DNF's
program doesn't offer the reselling of webhosting packages, so I'd only be
able to resell domain names. Therefore I'd prefer a program which also offers
me to resell webhosting, email hosting, ssl certificates, etc.

Are you actually a DNF reseller, seeker?

dodo, I have an account somewhere, but I dont actually promote it for reselling.
For what you ask, I would strongly recoomend Enom.
Also, with Enom, there are a few 3rd party API interfaces, which could make your life very easy, and they do provide exactly what you are asking for.
The DNF program is still new, so it is probably going through a stage were it is growing, which is normal.

DNF's program is still growing... I agree with you in that point. But they should be able to offer me the 24/7 support when they're advertising it. I'd really like to use Enom's program, because it sounds very interesting. However, I think I cannot pay using PayPal, can I?

of course you can pay by paypal for Enom.
the only limit is that you must have your account refilled by $100 each time, which isnt a problem.

Are you sure? In the reseller sign-up form they're asking for my credit card
information, but there are no fields for my PayPal info and I cannot see any
PayPal logo there...

you need to go through an ETP.
you can PM me and I will set you up as far as the reseller side/paypal is concerned.

we can try it out (and I'll give you the least possible prices I can).
otherwise, you need to sign up directly as an ETP (about $7K).
but as far as I know all reseller accounts do accept paypal.

Sign up, leave the CC blank then when you go fund it later you will get the paypal, cheque, wire or CC options.

If you plan to purchase more than 55 names in your life at enom then your best bet is to prepay $495 and get $8.95 direct from enom, this will also give you lower .info names than you would get as a reseller under someone else.

If you are an ETP you get a direct contact at enom you can email or call for any issues so you could always email customer support first and find this out, don't worry they won't bite your head off.

seeker please don't spread misinformation, an ETP does NOT cost $7k. The $7k prepay is if you want $6.95 names as an ETP.

dodo if you haven't already I suggest you read both provider websites from top to bottom, this is not a small decision you are making as switching at a later date with a lot of customers is a pain. You can find the enom prices here http://www.enom.com/resellers/default.asp#resellerPricing and their reseller FAQ here http://www.enom.com/resellers/faq_resellers.asp

Enom doesn't sell names cheaper to retail customers than they do to resellers, godaddy does. To me that speaks volumes as to how much each cares about their resellers.

I am not mispreading any info.
I was talking about the 6.95 names.
Yes, I did leave out the number, so you are right there.

And what do you call this? :-D

People DO NOT have to go through an ETP they can go direct to enom, to become a reseller there is no need to go through an ETP, one can become an ETP themselves.

I was trying to help the person.
I am not a domain account reseller (at least not yet.).
I assumed if he wanted a cheap reseller account at enom right away and use paypal, he would go through an ETP.
Now, whats the problem with that????????????????

I was just clarifying that both of your assumptions were incorrect :-D

To be fair though the original poster didn't mention how much they were willing to spend to attain certain pricing. If you go straight for an ETP account from enom you will need to deposit $495 straight up whereas if you go with a reseller you will only need to deposit $100 to start buying names (-3%). but your 8.95 from a reseller will never be lower than an 8.95 price. If you just want cheap names retail accounts can be created for under $8.95.

Hallo again,

Thanks to both of you for all your information! Keep cool & don't argue :-D
I've just been contacted by impactadmin and he could help me out. Therefore
I think I'll now try DNF's reseller program before going for enom's...

go daddy resellers can use gd for their 24/7 support for the products sold by the reseller. the csr's at the support number will try and upsell for the reseller while they are helping the customer out. does anyone else do that? hmmmm....

Hi

We are selling godaddy/wildwest reseller programe cheaper than godaddy and you definitely get far better service than godaddy. Have a look at mrwonder.net or mrwonder.com.

Thanks
This is not true!

And the truth is...
Mr Wonder - 10 years .COM - $8.00 per year.
GoDaddy - 10 years .COM - $6.95 per year!
(How would you do wonders for us .COM?)
And what about .BIZ and .US prices?
And do I have to mention bluerazor.com?

The simple truth is GoDaddy are fighting their own resellers!

it is not the competing that is the issue, the reseller accounts for me are mainly for web developers that wish to add these services under their own label so they can get a piece of their customers money that would have been spent elsewhere.
