4w.net is also listed for sale by this member and the whois for that domain was updated nov. 04 as well (He created the thread on the same day).
Just seems fish. Look into this domain if you can check whois history.

Yep - that thread was also pinged and moved to the legal section to prevent any "tampering". ;)

I hope law enforcement will be involved, and the domain returned to the rightful owner.

Unfortunately it seems there hasn't been a recovery of the domain just yet. It's now been hosted with a countdown page for some supposed launch. Part of the content reads:

"Site Under New Ownership Recently Sold at Digitalpoint Forum If you want to Buy or inquiry About GUi.com Contact Meenakshi [email protected]"

Either the thief still controls it or somebody was duped into buying it.

He has listed fishes.net also - this should be considered potentially stolen.

In order for them to take any action, the original owner of the GUI.com would have to call Flippa.

---------- Post added at 03:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:43 PM ----------

I have sent them a report as well. Let's see if they would take action.

Thanks for contacting Flippa Customer Support.

Listing has been suspended, pending further information from the seller.

Kind Regards,

Flippa Customer Support.

when will enforcement catch up to technology? These guys are stealing things more valuable than a brand new car off the lot yet even if they get caught are never prosecuted..this needs to change.

Seller has been banned on Flippa. They can always go to a computer cafe and open up a new account.

Probabaly because most of the scammers do it in countries where they don't have to worry about being extradited to the country where they comitted a crime.

This guy, the OP here, has some balls. After stealing the domain and lying through his teeth about it, he's trying to make a quick buck of low range on various venues - screwing some unsuspecting person in the process. I think his temp ban should be permanent.
