sedo: it was brought up before in other posts, but maybe you didnt see it?!

I would like to know if you really do only count the first click by a visitor and only pay us for one click and keep all following clicks for yourself although you are being paid for it by google.also if this is true if you have any plan of changing that, thanks

Yeah SEDO try answering that because I believe that is a form of click fraud to your own customers. A surfer could easily click a loan domain go to to lending tree not like what they see and go back and click the second ad. So no need for you to post anymore of your PR bs until you answer why you only pay on the first click

and I dont wanna hear stuff like: because its in our terms of service, maybe your parking software in the beginning was unable to detect that 5 years ago, but I think today there is no excuse for not paying for all clicks..

maybe I have to make my question look like a praise about their auctions in order to get an answer from them? ..so yeah..your auctions are GREAT!...also..I was wondering if you only pay for the first click in your parking program..and if you plan on changing that

Hi All,

After several months of avid reading of posts by many of you I thought it was about time to get 'off the fence'.

I have a question for sedo that operates along similar lines:

If it is true that Sedo only pay the first click in an attempt to prevent 'click fraud', how do they correctly record the many 'individual' users operating behind a proxy or firewall. All of these users will be assigned the same public IP address so are we saying that domain owners are losing out to these 'corporate' surfers?

While I appreciate that the company has delivered several areas of new functionality in the last 4 weeks and have also been busy rectifying 'technical issues' of which an honest admission has been released today (14/11/2006) I would of expected a mild attempt at PR in relation to the click accounting questions already asked by other members of this forum. For someone comparitevely new to the domain scene it's troublesome to see the reputation of a company go from such highs to such lows....

Where did they make that release at? I haven't read anything new today on DNForum. Please share the link with the rest of us!

On the 'My Sedo' page after you log in.... copy below:

Dear Sedo Member:

Between Thursday, Nov 9 6PM GMT and Friday, Nov 10 2:40 AM GMT, Sedo unfortunately experienced web server and database problems which in some cases caused loss of data entered during that time period. This means that if you entered a bid or received a bid for one of your domain names during that time, this piece of information may no longer show up in your user account.

Our technical staff was working throughout the weekend to recover as much of the lost data as possible. However, in cases where you feel that information is still missing, please contact Sedo Customer Support at [email protected]' (USA) or [email protected] (international).

Finally, one piece of good news: Sedo’s Parking Program did not experience any server downtime or data loss; the problems were limited to our marketplace only. All of your parking earnings and statistics were recorded correctly.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused! Sedo will take all actions required to avoid similar events in the future.

Sincerely,
Sedo Management

Well that's just plain bullshit. Revenue for Friday Nov.9th was exceptionally low!

That's why a counter-offer vanished from a sale thread of mine.

SedoCoUk is online right now - but you probably won't get a reply anytime soon.

Yes, now that you mentioned it that explains why an offer I had was mysteriously removed altogether from my history. However, the statement that revenue was not affected holds little water when Friday was an exceptionally low day.

I think the answer is in your stats...

Has ANY of your domains ever showed MORE than 100% CTR?

My Fabulous account does. How? Because 1 visitor clicks 2 ads... that's a 200% Click Through Rate.

Have you EVER seen that at Sedo?

sedo is only stopping by here to announce PR features like a new color for a annoying mobi pages..but expecting an answer for why they dont pay for the second, third and any additional click is beyond the PR guys authority..(or giving unclear answers)

Hey guys,

"This is in response to Domainah's original inquiry which read: since someone from sedo is actually answering questions, could you please let us know about the issue that Sedo (unlike all other parking companies) only pays for ONE click per visit (also for mobi domains) and keeps the other clicks to themself. Thanks."

In response to this, Sedo may have stricter filtering mechanisms to protect legitimate domainers that deliver quality traffic with high conversion rates. It's this same formula that also ensures that we maintain higher CPCs than the competition.
