Thanks Sara, but that really doesnt answer the question why Sedo doesnt pay for 2 clicks from a legitimate source...if you could clear that up, that would be great... I am NOT talking about traffic from questionable sources..I am talking about a real visitor clicking on two links..

In response to this, Sedo may have stricter filtering mechanisms to protect legitimate domainers that deliver quality traffic with high conversion rates. It's this same formula that also ensures that we maintain higher CPCs than the competition.

Higher CPC ????

You really should read the threads first ...

The point of 0.02c a click on only the first click = LOW CPC IMO

Sara,

Your answer confirmed that Sedo only pays the first click. Please be kind enough to inform us why a second legitimate click is not paid out? Also, is Sedo compensated for it?

Hey guys,

"This is in response to Domainah's original inquiry which read: since someone from sedo is actually answering questions, could you please let us know about the issue that Sedo (unlike all other parking companies) only pays for ONE click per visit (also for mobi domains) and keeps the other clicks to themself. Thanks."

Sara you do not have higher cpc than the competition who are you trying to kid. AND GUESS WHAT LEGITIMATE DOMAINERS HAVE DOMAINS THAT GET MORE THAN ONE CLICK PER VISIT.

I've taken my own advice and looked through my domains and CTR... I have a few that have 100% CTR every day. Not alot of traffic, generally below 15 or so per day, but high paying keywords. $2 - $4 Clicks.

But I NEVER get more than 100% ctr.

In fact, I'm in the USA so the daily cycle changes over around 3:00 PM my time... so for the first few hours, I can watch the visitors come and the clicks happen (sort to speak)... and even with I have just one visitor so far, which looks at several pages on the site, I only get a single click.

Or do I?

This is a very good point... at Fabulous, this same domain got over 100% CTR while on Sedo I don't

What is the story?

Hey guys,

I apologize for the confusion with my original response.

The simple answer is that on average our one click counting system pays a higher overall cpm than allowing multiple clicks. Systems that allow multiple clicks to count generally lower the average epc. I hope this answers your questions. Please let me know if I can clarify further.

It's like the secret Coca-Cola formula; just drink it but don't ask what's in it.

thanks sara..it sounds like the system trades fewer clicks (in the stats) for higher CPCs..it would be a good idea to clarify that in the user agreement..the more open a parking company is about these things the better it is..nobody likes secret formulas...although I wounder how a 3 cent click qualifies as a higher average CPC

Exactly Domainah I have had mobile names parked on SEDO and Fabulous on SEDO I got one click for .04 on Fab it got .18 and sometimes got more than one click. Sara I think if SEDO wasalways paying a min $1 a click maybe you could say your one click cpm higher. Blue.com is parked on SEDO I am sure that domain gets more than one click per user. AND if there is more than one click who gets it ? I know I have Loan domains that a user may go to greenlight then hit back and go to lending tree, if I only get paid for the Greenlight click who gets paid for the Lending Tree click? I am using this as an example as these two have been 1 and 2 in listings for keyword loans

I'm find with a lower share of the second and subsequent clicks... and how does that hurt the value of the 1st click?

Not paying for the extra clicks isn't keeping the value of the CPC higher if the advertiser still pays for the extra clicks to Sedo... it just means that Sedo makes more and we don't

At least that's the impression.

If your point is that Sedo ONLY charged the Advertiser for the 1st click and then it's all free after that... I can see the added value and higher CPC argument making some sense.

But all credibility is out the window if the advertiser still pays for subsequent clicks.

The question is, DO THEY?

its a google feed, so Sedo does get money for each click, might that be the second, third or 10th click...if sedo claims they are paying a higher average CPC it still means those sites that people click on once make more money on the expense of those domains that people tend to click on more than once... I think what works in Sedo's favor is that their templates are very well designed so that the clicktrough rate that shows is still pretty good, which is why I would think that the rate if it would be displayed like all other companies do it, is probably really high..but I dont think we see too much of that additional money in higher CPCs

If they get clicks after clicks and only pay us for the 1st click, they SEDO can afford to give us even 100% of the 1st click if they get 100% of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on... Nice business model. Sublte yet profitable.... only accept the HIGH click through traffic on Sedo Pro and then only pay for the 1st click.

MASS income for them, 1st click income for us.

It's called a "loss leader" and it's what cheesy car dealerships do to bring business in. Sell one car below book while marking up all the others. "sorry, that car is sold but you can buy this one!"

I think I might have to move my high CTR domains back to Fabulous and just leave the ones that get minumal click through here at Sedo Pro. Makes sense. If Sedo is playing the game this way, defacto ENDORSING it, then so should we, right?

Hi

Try Parked .com with some domains
It allows multiple clicks, and each click is sometimes 5x than Sedo

Regards
