Okay, how and who do you use the different grabbing services. Some names I know are worth grabbing for a small price, but not worth the price of some services.

How do you guys break these down?

SnapNames - $69 regardless of whether or not they reg the name
Name Winner - bidding process starts at $25
DropWizard - $120 if they reg it
Nic Genie - bidding process starts at $50
ExpireFish - $10/month monitoring cost for all names
NameFox - some kind of a minimum $75 bid secret process

others I've left off I know.

How do you guys use these?

Right now this is how I'm using them:

ExpireFish for all names, if I forget a name I want it will reg it for me, but I've beaten it by hand several times
Name Winner for all names that have a snap on them already
SnapNames all names that I think are worth a minimum of $200 resell

What are the guidelines you guys use?

I use ExpireFish pretty much the same way.

I use Snap & NameWinner, but I never had NameWinner get one yet :(

I never found the time to figure out which service is which and for how much, let alone develop a strategical approach to these services... I was blind, now I see.

I've had some good successes with ExpireFish and Snapnames. Never with NameWinner, however. I have seen bids of over $1000 on NameWinner lose to a $70 snap.
