Need to spend another $800 a year renewing my .com domains.
😐

Thanks to Verisign's latest price increase.

I'm looking at dropping more domains this year and being much more selective about new domain acquisitions.

How are you handling this latest .com price increase? Are you raising asking prices? Dropping domains? Etc.

I have to spend more than 10K per year, to do economy I just cycle them through registrars, in this way I spend less on trans/renewals.
Did this 2 times this year, going one more then hope the next year to do another 2 times, want to renew them for more years cheap.
But probably also going to drop some stupid handregs I did in the beginning.
Also I regret not renewing them for more years when the price was cheap, that would have saved this cycling through registrars.

I can't spend that much time transferring but it does help cut costs.

Renewing each year for investment grade domains is the way to go.

How many domains do you have? What's the renewal price per domain you're paying?

Hi

I have been calculating average renewal cost @ $10 per domain going back the last few years.
that's because some names now have higher fee than .com like .net/org and some other extensions.

overall, the increase is still minimal, compared to other "entry-level" investing mechanisms.

options mentioned to absorb the increases like raising prices, dropping names or finding ways to lower commissions on sales can all help.
i still get a few $ from ppc, so it may not be as impactful when sales are slow.

imo...

I am .com guy.

Have some other extensions but not many.

I'm dropping a lot.

I've been testing this out too. Using parking rotation helps with Above.
