So if you edit the original post, and say the thread is closed -
BUT if no one ever reads that edit - then can we really say it is closed?
Is there a definitive answer?
This is a question philosophers have wrestled with for millions of years.
In normal situations if you say a thread is closed(Thread starter) it is closed though there is no lock button on it. Why would anyone bother to post something in a closed thread... sometimes people with reading they post and it is time wasted for them, nothing happens to you and me.
As a thread creator all we should be doing is editing out any information which we don't want to have there. If you need information in some other members post in your thread to be edited, you have to request the Mods/Admins as John mentioned.
If they deem your request appropriate it will be fulfilled. If not ignored.
It is as simple as that and there is no confusion in this.
PS: If you upgrade to Exclusive membership this kind of requests will be answered soon. Simply because Mods/Admins on this forum are paid for, the higher your membership level the more quicker your answers would be, that is when we have lot of requests and we are busy. Under normal circumstances we do the needful as the requests come in.
