My email is strictly Horde.

IS that too primative?

The thing is, I like 1/2 time @ two houses, so using Outlook would be bad as it saves to the PC.

Which i use 2 equally :(

well for me there is...
I seperate my 'secure' email from my 'social' email.
and.... since I use different computers from my house (where the entire family of nephews and nices get on) and office, I like to keep them seperate.

On quite a few occasions, my nephew (who I may add is only 13) was able to log on to my webmail account because some wise*ss friend of his told him about some program that logs everything you type and was able to see my password sent some nasty emails to someone, and let's just say she never went out to dinner with me again...

so, yes, not having to type your password everytime, and having it all concentrated on one machine has its good sides.
For me I guess :)

I didn't expect so many responses :D

I wasn't to sure which one is better for webmail. Horde, or SquirrelMail. I take it Neomail probably isn't very good?.

When using Horde, do you get a blank page with a link that says "This document has moved here" often when trying to visit different locations in Horde (inbox, calendar, etc.). If not, guess I had better contact my host to see whats going on.

I'm trying to find a good free mail program for my pc. I won't use outlook because I've been down that road before and all your asking for is trouble with that program. :)

I've been using Outlook since Outlook 2000. I have yet to have virus attack my Outlook. My anti-virus software scans everything before it hits in the inbox.

I have 20 e-mail accounts that I use with Outlook, and have never had a problem. The new Outlook has some great filters, and a much better layout than the pervious versions, and it has spam filters built in. I've used other spam filter software and have to say this does a great job.

As long as you keep up on the security updates for the Office suite you should have no problems.

Just my two cents :)

Does thunderbird let you click and delete a message without opening the email? I know with outlook express it previews the darn messages the moment you click it. Can't delete it without clicking it, err. I even have that preview window set to off, but still does it. err. Guess I'll try it out or I'll stick with webmail. Would be nice to check email without having to load up webmail all the time though.
