Comparatively speaking, I am sure it's quite rare with very few websites making $500 a month, especially domainer sites. The excellent way CoffeeDetective.com (see post #72 above) has done it (which I have researched quite a bit in the past) is probably the best way, especially if you do not get lots of traffic, or it's a non-typein name like coffeedetective.com, which probably had no typeins or traffic when the site was new.

Amazing and encouraging. Does your traffic take a hit when Google changes up their algorithm?

I have never had a problem with Google, largely because I always take care to follow their guidelines very carefully. I never try to "game" the search engines. Just not worth it. By following the rules, I am building a long-term asset or real value.

Congrats again. It's really amazing what you accomplished with your website, which I think you wrote in detail about somewhere before but don't recall now where I read the story. May have been on a website or ebook or something like that. A link or info by PM to your story would be very welcome. Thanks.

How hard is it for a web site to make $500 a month? Please forgive me if this is a bit of an odd question. Do you consider $500 a month to be a lot of money for a web site to make?

EASY

You find a geokeyword for a high cpc term

You put the content google WANTS on it

Make it a squeeze page

In 2 to 3 weeks when the SEO kicks in, and it's page 1 for a major cpc term in a nice market, you call up the businesses in that market that pay X dollars a click too adwords and say

You want this organic, it comes PRE DONE and it's page 1 now, and it's X dollars a month and Y dollars for me to pop your map tied to it and Z dollars for me to send wholesale ppc to it.

So a 1.00 to 8 buck REG becomes 500 to 2500 a month RESIDUAL income if you have moderate seo skills, content creation skills and map skills and know ppc

If you don't know those four things, then yeah it's HARD, if you know those things then you're driving a lamborghini and drinking cristal and cruise around in pj's at 25K feet

Yep, EASY to make 500 to 2500 a month off any geokeyword reg when the keyword is what business owners pay 10 to 50 bucks cpc for

All that bs about typeins and adsense and whatever, it's nothing compared to how you can flip REG FEES today into 6K to 30K a year income producing ASSETS

Now if you can land some keywords.com/net/etc

then you can play the subdomain.keyword.com game

big big money in that

500 to 2500 a sub domain IF you land the right keyword

and you can use prefix keywords if you are good in SEO

so yeah, EASY to turn reg fees into income assets if you understand

a. what are the top cpc terms most businesses in your GEO want
b. have moderate seo skills
c. can create content google wants
d. know how to seo maps
e. know how to manage ppc

you put high response squeeze page content on geowhatever and if you pop it, you got residual income

EASY

Adon... you need to be more clear on what your typing.. What do you mean when you say "you pop it" and "map skills?" By map skills, do you mean site map making skills?

Google is not in business to make money for you.. they are there to make money for themselves

Most folks who are actually making a living online are going the non-google route

Google sells hope... just like viagra... works for some people but it is not applicable for most people

I see too many EASY's....but that is not the case for most.

Maybe you can write an E-BOOK. ;)

I would also like to see some of your sites that make $500+ a month if you don't
mind sharing on thread, or by pm. Thanks.

Are there any member here who have been consistently made $500 a month through one of their sites? If so, do you mind sharing how long it took for you to make that money?
We did it in retail early on. With my first site, DrumBum(.)com, it took me a long time because I started from scratch and I had a lot to learn. With my second site, OccupationGifts(.)com, it happened pretty quickly. I used my established mailing list and many targeted websites to help feed it.
