don't believe this shit about all the good ones being gone, they are'nt!

Actually many of the good/obvious .com's are gone, the some good co.uk's remain but would you risk it at $15 + reg fee! :-/

Focus, where do you park your typos?

judging by his signature i'd assume its parked.com

Does parked allow typos? I didn't think they did.

Pool(.)com is a fine marketplace to pick up traffic expired names. Minimum $60 a crack but what a difference in resale value. Buying domains for $6.95 without traffic doesn't seem worth it to me for a $10-$20 sale. The time alone isn't worth the cost.

If someone is making a killing let us in on your secret...

Take Care,
Thor

I register about 20 per day. Some I am holding onto, and will not put for sale for years from now. Others go for sale to keep the spending money. Its easy to find decent names because people are mainly after traffic. If its a decent name, and it doesnt receive traffic, some let it go anyway. Thats where I step into play.

I am along the same lines.
Use to reg much more.
But now, I keep ones that dont receive traffic if they are good quality. In the past, I would have just gone for traffic names.
many decent domains that dont receive much traffic can still be sold to end users for good amounts. Assuming you do your research.
I also buy from others more now (a well as sell).

Anywhere from 1-25 per day. Depends on the drops, the traffic, the age, the PR, the need, and the marketability. So far today just 6.

Won't ignore any quality .com, .net, .co.uk, .info. Dot Org, despite great traffic rankings, just not hitting. IDN's not out of the question but need strong characterization and appeal. Good typos a must.

And I'll never say no to a good .mobi.

Trying to balance my registrations with purchases but the registrations far out number the buys.

Naw, also balancing with sales. One pays for the other (sometimes) and use parking revenue to pay for renewals.

That does not necessarily mean I keep them all. Park, test, taste, drop if need be.

O.K. I thought you are keeping them all. It would be hard to balance than. With more details sounds rational.

I only hand reg for emerging technology or during a landrush. I used to hand regged about 3-7 a day 2 years ago. Now, I work the drops and buy from resellers mostly so I buy about 2/per week. But I still research available names- just wiser in choices I make now.

There are 2 services that I use and recommend to everybody. Parked.com and Parkingpanel. I have used almost every major parking service out there, I perform well at one of the two services for any reason, it performs well at the other one. The 2 services combined are the optimal solution
