It is a good place to get information. Remember, many of the big sales are not reported. I have only caught one fraudulent sale there as well, but I don't look to closely for fraud. Most of the sales are legit, but this one stood out like a sore thumb....I did my investigation and it wasn't legit.

I still say that most of the dotcom sales prices listed there are legit.....close to one hundred percent. I look forward to the new list every Tuesday.

I must confess I read dnjournal five times a day, kneeled in front of my pc, face turned to Tampa.

I read it every week. I mean actually read the articles and not just look at the weekly sales.

***I have had a few sales listed on there this year. This past week I had the #8 spot in 'The DNJournal Top 40' sales: USGrants.com

(why not brag about it if the buyer wanted it listed?!?! )

It's a great site; has fascinating content, and is cleverly-written. My $.02.

Well it seems that most of us use the 'DNJ' as a reference, but it would seem few new domainers read it. May I suggest to any person relatively new to this business that it is definately a 'must read'. As you see from the comments in this thread most experienced domainers make sure they keep up to date via it.

If we're making suggestions, I'll suggest new domainers to read on a daily basis all the highest viewed threads of each domain forum for the un-filtered, un-opinionated results of todays issues. Always understand that even a posted thread can be an effort to spark interest in any direction. And Tag-teaming is quite common. Use your head and never rush into anything. It's rarely worth it.

As the DNJournal is considered by many to be the weekly 'business read' for the industry it would be interesting to find out just how many of us read it as a matter of course every week?

Do you find it helpful? Do you study domain prices?

I find the design of DNJ so outdated, I would rather it looked like this: www.dnj.com

as a web developer, I sometimes consider the design annoying.

but the content is great.

What bothers me is that most of the domains sold medium-to-high prices are still parked after changing hands...I for once, would like to see some of them developed.
