Got this from www.dncrunch.com

D.tv and P.tv both registered for $22 each.........

Lost in the .TV talk today are two of the best possible .tv domains, single letter .tv domains that appearently got registered yesterday.

Neither of these domains were on the list of premium .TV domains released by Enom last night.

The domains, D.tv and P.tv are showing as being registered yesterday.

The domains were registered by the same lucky person located in China using the registrar Dynadot.

Sure is strange how these domain got registered outside of Enom and what looks like to be for just the price of a normal .TV registration.

The .TV registry held back almost all of its two letter .TV domains.

A quick check shows domains like JJ.TV, MJ.TV and MB.TV (wouldn’t mind having that one) all being still reserved by the registry.

So why would they have just released single letter .TV’s?

So the big mystery of the day is how did these 2 letter .TV domains wind up getting registered for less than $22 each?

Here is the info:

I think March 18th was when registrars were making/modifying .tv fees, premium .tv registration...
And they had some sort of glitches for some time.

They'll probably take both back as I heard few other domainers registered premium .tv at regular reg. fee,
but, lost them at later time.

I am sure there are item in any registrars' TOS stating that they can take back domains for some specific reasons ;)

I registered cocosisland.cc at regular registration fee. My godaddy manager said he was surprised the domain was still available. d.tv cool short one. I wonder if the new owner can fight for it if it happens that the company decides to take the domain back.

Well, if nothing underhand occurred, I wish the lucky domainer all the best - good on him/her. If there was some kind of fault with the system then tough on Enom, they had better fire those responsible but not take it out on the domainer who had the sense to register them.

Even if they don't lose them you can be sure the cost of registration will skyrocket next year. dude would be best off to renew for 10 years now.

I would hazard a guess that they were both registered the day before the goldrush / few days prior to the landrush.
Many back office deals were done prior to releasing to the general public.

Major buy ups like England.tv and the like happened behind closed doors at a "premium price" and then reg fee from then on.

I have no idea about d.tv or p.tv but I would think that is what happened.
