I'm trying to get a name. It's in redemption period status. Someone else has a snap on it and so far mine is the ony bid on NW. I think it's slipped below radar so far, but I don't think that will last and the NW bids might climb above my limit. What are my alternatives?

My budget for this name is $250. Any ideas?

Bid $250 at DW

Bid $250 at dropking.com

Bid $250 at the first name.com (still operational?!)

Bid up to $250 at NW <------ BEST CHANCE

Pay BD $10K for it <------------ MOST LIKELY :D

Looks like if you REALLY WANT the name you're going to have to go over your budget on Namewinner like everyone else and suck it up. Dropwizard, nicgenie and others are a far shot as they have yet to catch me anything even with high bids. Enom or Buydomains could also get the name....

I would, except I can't figure out how to raise my account limit on NW. If I can't do that, then it sounds like I'm screwed!

You are free post your experiences with that company (who is also a member), but please refrain from name calling.

Thanks

I've heard this from several people. This is the a great reason there shouldn't be private drop clubs. There are several other ones around who ignore emails as well.

If you look around this board for someone giving advice about getting your own registry connection and playing smarter you might be able to talk to the person who owns this site you speak of. If he's any true judge of character he probably ignores your emails on purpose as you are very rude on this board sometimes. :D

No hard feelings, I'm doing fine without Dropking, just wanted to point that it's not that easy to join all drop clubs you try to join.
And what do you mean rude? No girls on this board, I'm free to speak the way I like. Folks ignore emails not because of what you say, they do it cause they have nothing to say, imo.
The lack to give a reasonable explanation of the denial is their bad, not mine.

That's quite a leap clemzonguy IMHO

They are just a business who have decided to serve a limited number of clients. That's his business model and it's as valid as snap fixed price... serve everybody, or our fixed price with bonus option... serve the higher end or namewinners pay through the nose.

We all have a right to structure our businesses the way we want and allow public acceptance to be the guide.

If the clients don't like it they won't patronize the business. And although I shouldn't be speaking for toonz, dropking is doing just fine believe me.

I think the real problem here is you haven't been able to be accepted as a client.

May be, anyway it's not an excuse for ignoring emails.

As of yet, I have not opened any service, but have plans. Once the wsl proposal is rejected, our service will come for domains near you :swg:

Is this directed at me?

Right it's more about if I want to be a client or not.

July 25th. Enough said.

What about eNom? How do I find their drop service? Is it any good?

Back when I was at NSI, we predicted that these guys would have gone under by now. I wonder how they survived the axe?
