I was looking up the ownership of a dot com name. It is a new genetic testing tool.
I was quite surprised not at the owner but the number of domains owned by the owner:
"Johnson & Johnson" owns about 32,218 other domains
Do you have other examples of Fortune 500, 100, or 50 corporate domain owners?
I think it would be a worthwhile thread to see what is going on in a different segment of domaining. Much like patents, trademarks, and processes - getting that domain is crucial to branding. But, how much of this bulk is defensive regs?
For instance, here is the results for Microsoft -
"Microsoft Corporation" owns about 34,782 other domains
Please post similar findings just for the heck of it. Perhaps good data can be used from this.
