I run a small company.

I owned a domain, <my-company-name>.<com>, which is the subject of this open letter.

I didn't trademark my company name.

I bought a domain name with a registrar few years back.

They blocked my account citing some reason.

I lost access to my domain portfolio.

I could not to renew my domains in time.

Lost my company domain.

HugeDomains catched it and priced it $14,295.

All my effort I did for my backlinks are gone. In deep pain and loss!

I find it personally disgusting when people celebrate domain flips, that too publicly online.

Efforts of so many people are simply discounted.

Govt exchanges, which has authority to *block* such websites, are not taking any action!

We are forced to pay ransoms to squatters. SHAME!

Dear Govt-based national exchanges,

Why can't you block a website which is highly unethical, greedy, and squatting domains!

Majority of the domains snipped by HugeDomains are India based small business.

Many business are suffering including mine.

Personally, my company domain has been held for ransom by the same entity.

I am writing to express my disgust and anger.

What was your old registrar? This seems to be a problem with the previous registrar not the new owners (Huge Domains) of that particular domain.

For example, I have lost a 2-letter ccTLD domain name I did buy at an auction > the registrar I was using that time closed their website, the owner promised me that my domains will be safe till they resolve their business structure (probably a new brand) and accidentally (or not) dropped my domain name.. I did manage so safe the rest of my LL domains with that registrar (have transferred them out), but that domain name is with a new owner, and put for sale (of course)..

I can't blame the new owner (they probably caught it) > the blame is on me and the previous registrar for not resolving the problem situation..

It is sad to hear stories like these, and still > Huge Domains didn't steal your name.. they probably got it in an auction.

Wow.. I thought Z.com was bought by Nissan group years ago for their Z sports car.

We can see "GMO" in the footer of Z.com > that is a one of the most successful Registrars/Registries in the world. .. it will be tough, very tough dealing with them..

I personally wouldn't expect anything from Huge Domains.. they are way too big, and probably have heard tonnes of similar posts > I am sure you don't doubt neither that they got the domain fair and square.

If you have a solid case and if you are prepared for a long fight > go after z.com

.. I am also considering to go after my previous registrar or not.. And, I am not afraid of courts, not my first rodeo.. still, this is a time and financially consuming process, and also filled with lots of negativity..

what do you plan to do? .. begging Huge Domains to gift you the name probably is not the best strategy..
