I bought 550 names in a month's time-

I bought 550 names in about a month.
Mostly idn names (about 400), but I also gorged on 1.99 .infos.
Luckily,this was all put on my dad's credit card. (Thanks, dad!)

Anyone have a marathon-month record they'd like to share?
I'm fairly certain that a lot of IDNers have met or exceeded my record....

Only did 150+ between new reg and purchases in February. So far this month its been 10-12 a day. Not letting anything go lately and I admire the ability to let them drop. I&#8217;d be curious to know the drops too stocdoctor.

Perhaps we can have a monthly thread that posts this kind of info. Or a &#8220;How many have you regged/dropped this month&#8221; (anonymous) poll on the home page? This months dnforum posterchild and winner is.....! You get bragging rights for a month and a new avatar next to your name during that time!

Yeah, he definitely might do that. I'll try to tell him that you can be wrong with idns 99/100 and still make a profit, which might save me from the whip. ( he's actually the one who turned me on to domaining as a hobby; he's a tech journalist, and was invested into names early on, ~1995.)

China recently created their own version of the extensions .COM, .NET and .ORG, extensions in Chinese characters. I wonder how this will affect the IDN space for China?

Now there's an idea. I regularly drop names and kick myself watching them picked up by others. Heck, I just tried to BO some of my dropped names and GoDaddy slots are gone already. (Who took the slot on BajaCalifornia.biz?) Although some were .com, most were .info, .biz and .net, but on review all certainly worth more than my <$7 cost to renew. I have come to hate .net and am down to a lousy 52 of them left. Of course it gets personal too, I'd rather see them go down the toilet than have the ex get the proceeds. Greedy Bitch.
