I have had 100% of auctions on Afternic not paid for. So I do not even bother with them.
Really, you're the first person I've heard that from. I made one sale with them, which went fine.

Then that is just me. 3 out of 3 were unpaid. All sold within 2 weeks of each other. Suspect it may have been same bidder.

Sedo was pathetic a couple of years ago.

So far this year, 100% payment. But, the year is not finished and I may have just jinxed myself as I have 2 large sales to be paid.
Yes, this has been well documented here in this forum, but it still seems they are the leaders in premium and mid size sales. So I guess people just have to learn to live with that. It seems they are trying to improve though.

Another reason for lower sales - exchange rate. A few months back I could get over $2 for £1 - today we're at $1.48

All of this economic mess and turmoil and the falling dollar has got to hurt tourism everywhere, just when that industry needs it most and people need a break.

We have indefinitely postponed plans to go to Europe again.

Oh, and flight prices - YOWSER!

Carter, you know that Italy is ALWAYS on my agenda.

The next planned trip was Vienna and Southern Germany (all along the Danube) and naturally hit Italy. I would love to go to souther Italy. But I am so fond of Northern Italy. We especially wanted to hit Verona again for Opera Season, then Milano, Pisa, and Firenza. Venezia is special but so pricey now.

We were talking about taking that overnight train from Vienna a Venezia and following that route of Padova, Bologna, Firenza, Pisa, Milano, Torino (possible Cremona for Violin) and back up into Austria. Take a few weeks off and go on a set budget. Magical journey.

Always thinking and planning.

Will you get some calcio tikets? ;)
DUDE! A C Venezia, Chievo Verona, Juventas, were on the top of my list as well. Was not going to Roma but hoping to catch them somewhere. Love Soccer and the Italian Leagues.
