AND BOUGHT .US DOMAIN :D
I couldnt stand being one of those non believers, and had to reg few .US domains.
All other extensions are taken. Here they are:

BANKCENTER.US - I like it.
BOWLINGCENTER.US - American way of fun..
COMANCHES.US - I like it a lot, fits the .us perfectly,
GUIDEDTOUR.US - Fits .us as well
SORROW.US - Memoral site, or sth. Fits the .us :)
COVERBOY.US - US gay comunity :D, or man fashion related or sth
RENTABOAT.US - RentACar, RentABoat.. All well known services.
RENTA.US - Rent A (car,boat,flat,whatever..) or just "renta". I like the sound of it..

PS: I am thinking of regging coverboy.biz as well, but would like you oppinion on it. Is cover boy an often used word? It has 1.8 mio pages on google..

Please appraise and comment my pick!
- If you hate them, just say so (no need to be polite) :D
- If you like them, even better!

GUIDEDTOUR.US - Fits .us as well

I HATE THEM! ..... Because they are very good choices and about half of them were on my list of names to go back and eventually register! :)

You have a very good eye for root names DA. If .US kicks in over the next few years like a lot of us think it will, you will be very happy you got some of these. If it doesn't you're out less than $60. I think the risk/reward ratio makes that kind of bet a very sensible move. At the very least you have domains that can all be developed into very nice sites with memorable names. Good luck.

Thats why we have friends in the states :p Or in my case, relatives :) So they are "legal" registrants, but I get to manage the domains and everything about them :D

Doberry: I think I have solved the problem with my CC. It had something to do with the CV2 record.. Now be a good American, and let me try to transfer one more time :D

In the meantime, some azz stole my BUREAUCRACY.INFO :(

I don't think much of your names first of all! And not being a u.s. citizen and having others in the states cheat for you, makes me like them even less.

Hehe.. I dont mind if you dont like domain names, but at least dont make a fool out of your self with statements like: buhuhu, you are cheating. Im not. I could also list my US company as a legal registrant if I wanted, so chill out..

Feedback has been very positive, thanks. But I wonder what the actual value could be when .us takes off? thanks!

Ah, the million dollar question! In a world of unkowns, this stands out ... though I've heard anywhere from 5%-15% of a SOLD .com! Good Luck.
PS. I noticed you said "when .US takes off". More relevant, perhaps, may be "if .US takes off". Yes?

I think Gary and Doberry need to re-read (or even read once!) the rules regarding registration of .US names.

CoolHost: Well, at the moment .us is already worth 10%-15% of .com (considering its a good name) as I hear. So when/if .us takes off, it will only gain on value. And due to lack of space in com,net area and american patriotism, Im sure .us will gain on popularity in next few years. Almost no doubt about it..

PS: I dont know whats the price of .com for any of these domains would be, so I cant specaulate on the value.. Thats why I asked for help here :) Thanks

"Almost no doubt about it.."

I tend to agree with your rationale ... truly. However, and I'm sure you understand, your use of the word "almost" in the above statement is a fair cause for concern, or at least ammunition for debate.
Let's see how others comment on the issue (.US valuations) ... we'll both be assisted greatly. Good Luck.

Welcome to the club domainAddict. Unlike Cool H, my take on .US is obviously much more optimistic since I've always believed in the tremendous potential of US and anything related to it, especially something with a national, patriotic flavor. Moreover, .US is already being used for years by most of the city, county, state and other govrenmental entities, though in a much more convulated and user un-friendly manner; its open availability just as .US without any strings attached is going to make it very attractive. In a short while. .kids.us will be out and by law DOC will have to advertise/market it....so far none of the tlds been so lucky! So, in short, its only a matter of "when" not "if" as Cool H would suggest...obviously just my opinion.

Back to the names, I like GuidedTour.US & RentABoat.US better than others; BankCenter.US is also quite promising. I rather wait at least 6-12 months but if I "HAVE TO" put a speculative value on these three I'd say $150-500; 5-10 times in 2-3 years.

Yeah. Im no fortune teller, nor have I enough experiences on this field to say for sure. However, thats how I feel, and considering the facts Ive stated above, i see no reason why .us wouldnt take off. Just wait untill US blows out saddams ass, and he threathens to use his weapons of mass destruction..

Yeeps. I think we might be getting a little off track here! Let me be very clear ... I DO hope .US takes off, I just think it's too early to tell, I've seen no evidence to date that it should or will, and I distinctly remember this very same debate with the .TV domains. Remember them?
Let's stay tuned and keep each other up to speed ... k? :) Good Luck.
