Not sure which plan you went with HostMonster, but I'd definitely get a VPS for 30 sites, which would give you 100% control over the limits except for disk storage and monthly bandwidth. Shared hosting is good in terms of SEO because you get a distant unique IP for one of your website (preferably a satellite site, not a money making one), but not good if you host many sites on a shared server, especially when you have substantial traffic. It goes down more easily and may have villain sites on the same server which may not be good for SEO.

Eek, sounds like a lame move on their part. I generally use budget VPS's as needed for my sites, provided they're making back the money.

I am also in the mark looking for a dedicated web server. What is your experience with Webair so far? I can see they have datacenters in Amsterdam, Newyork etc. Anyone care to share their experience for both managed and non-managed dedicated servers? Thanks

i used to host with hostgator dedi , once i sold my much traffic site, i lowered to vps, and then after that all i needed was to host email, then lowered to baby, and thought i was not doing much, i cancelled hostgator.

So now i host with namecheap, paid about 2.98 per month to host all of my domain to create unlimited emails :) , try namecheap, and pay for one full year, its best deal.

If you are looking for managed dedicated server you can take a look at :

Webhost.UK

or
Rshosting

I personally have couple of servers with WebhostUK and few cloud VPS servers with Rshosting , both have been fantastic with option to select server in UK or US location as per choice, best is they are managed servers.
