Hi,

Sunday will be the first auction I attend and I put two names up for sale. One of them will no longer be for sale - how do I delete it from sunday's auction?

Cheers,

gregr, when you mention eBay Mastery... is it my recently "shut down by eBay" auction regarding eyesnack.com of which you speak? :D

Damn... I loved that auction! Almost had a buck too.

And doberry...

You never know... I may get spitefull :D and never hand over any lady's name.

Remember folks... it's all in fun. And like I always say...

"Life is like a chicken sandwich... It's good." :D

Cheers,

damnit gregr. I PMed you reply on that, and you still have this shit posted?

All right, to get this sorted out so I don't have to explain it another 1000 times!!!!

This is what happened:

Last sunday I had 2 names listed for auction:

recordable.info
and
nbateam.com

recordable.info sold for $25 to person A
and nbateam.com sold for $40 to person B

I received both paypal payments, and push recordable.info to person A.

At this point, I am a little tired since I put my alarm to wake up at auction start (2 AM in the morning here in Sweden). It was now 4 AM.

I accidentaly pushed both names to person A, and when I realise this, I immediatly refund person B's money, and explain everything and apologize plenty of times. I even took the time to set up an enom account for him at 4 o clock in the f ucking morning just so I could push him the damn name.

Anyways, a few days later, person A realises I pushed him one name too much, and he pushed it back to me.

I then start searching for "jackal" which is his DNFORUM name. I even emailed him using the emailadress he paypaled from.

NO reply yet.

And now, GREGR, without knowing anything but hearsay, tells me:

"Don't F UCK up these auctions or you'll have an angry mob on your door step"

Gregr: Are you going to keep threatening minors with anry mobs if they don't stop phucking things up for you?

It's hard to control angry mobs. :)

Why would you put up for auction a domain name that you sold just a few days prior? Maybe these auctions are no place for a minor to be.

Who said I sold them?

I just got some interesting ideas to develop them, and I think that is what this business needs! more development.

But sure, nevermind.

By the way, entering a name into your auction is in NO way, legaly binding, so why don't you just add a function to remove names instead of just having some sales that won't be followed through and wasting eveyones time?

It's the Honor System Ice. Greg has only asked that no changes be made after midnight Friday night. I think that is a very reasonable request as the deadline comes less than 48 hours before the auction, giving his programmers just enough time to get everything set up and buyers enough time to digest a very large list and decide which names they want to go after.

While it's true you may not have a legal obligation to follow through on your word keep in mind that Greg also has no obligation to let you participate in any more auctions or even in the forum. He can easily make violation of the auction rules grounds for being removed from the membership roles.

Bailing at the last minute causes him a lot of needless headaches and detracts from something very valuable that you want to develop - your reputation.

You sold nbateam.com Sunday!

I am going to pull one programmer today to add a delete feature that will allow you to delete entries up to one hour before the start of the auction.

Beware of angry mobs.

Plain & simple, if you don't want to sell a name, DO NOT list it.

Yeah, too much hassle for too little money, imo. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that if sellers start feeling they are getting the fat end of the stick, eventually the swing will turn the way of a rapid ghecko.

Mole I suggest that if you detect that the sellers are getting the fat end of the stick, that you become a buyer. You can start out by bidding on my names. :D

Greg, I have a BIG problem... Your site took
my request to auction 9dy.com and seemed to have
an error by returning a null document. I hit the
auction submit twice and three times and was informed that only two names could be auctioned.
To my dismay I found that I was to auction off
9dy.com twice! The second auction winner will
simply have to accept a substituted unknow name
of higher quality. That's in the rules isn't it?
Or is it the first winner that may accept the offer?
I'm really in trouble I know!

I just looked at the list, and it sorted the double out.

You are number 48, selling 9dy.com, and thats the only listing for you.

Very nice of you Greg. Pain in the arse though I'm sure.

Just to let you know, I put in two names for $1 each, and wouldn't take $1000 ahead of the auction if offered. (They aren't worth that anyway, but that's not the point is it?)

My integrity isn't up for sale, too bad we can't say that for everyone.

Very easy to say doc.

The proof is... that you "said" it so easily. And my guess is... it's even easier to "say" again.

So let's hear it one more time okay?

ezinestein

PS - And don't you know that the easiest way to get shit scented breath is by kissing ass?

Ok here's one more time. I'm not ever going to pull a name that's been submitted to these auctions after the deadlines set. Doesn't matter what the price is. You're messing up the idea behind the auctions for others if you do. If you're going to pull them out, don't put them in.

On the PS. No, I didn't know that. Appears that you've had some experience.

:D

On the other side, if the lady shows up, why would she bid $300
if the current bid is say $20?
