yep, hal, prada is known worldwide.

once AGAIN, most of us with active brain cells don't repeat the mistakes we
made 4 and 5 years ago when the lines weren't as neatly drawn in this industry.

and they didn't want the name, not that it's any of your business.

they figured they could get worldwide advertising for $1500 in a WIPO suit instead
of paying much, much more for full-color ads in top fashion magazines.

they never even took possession of the name after the suit.

so, AGAIN, i find it incredible that people without the facts can make assumptions,
then post them as statements of fact, when IN FACT, they're assumptions, and
not the truth.

>>Coming up with a cute business name as a pretense after the fact

the suit was in 2000 hal.
i've had that business name, and it's still a subchapert-S under our main corporation,
since 1999.

Spin, spin, spin....

http://www.whois.sc/prada.org

Owned by Prada of Europe.

"they never even took possession of the name after the suit"

??? What WHOIS are you reading?? It's difficult to reason with folks who make so many inaccurate statements.

i'll repeat what i said on another thread:

hal.. your logic and reasoning are flawed.
give it up while you're still breathing.

YOU are firing the shots.

it's actually starting to sink in that you live to flame,
you live to argue, and instead of building your business or
character or wanting to help our industry, you like stirring
the pot and setting it on fire.

enough of this. i'm tired of trying to reason with you.

although you will dispute it, i wish you well.

I'm not Hal, and it's fair game to respond to things demonstrably false.

Either prada.org is, or it isn't owned by PRADA SA. I say it is, and you say it isn't. The WHOIS will tell anyone else the answer.

george, if they did get it, it wasn't for at least a year after the suit.
you think i have the time, energy, or inclination to follow registration
on ONE name after four years?

i'm done responding to you as well.

i see nothing constructive, nothing contributive, in any of your posts.

i wish you well.

You see only what you want to see, it appears, Marcia. Correcting falsehoods is obviously not constructive, to you. If it's destructive to destroy false facades, to reveal the truth, I'm the most dangerous man you know.

That's the real reason DK has enemies -- not because they know too little, but because they know too much, and can show independent thought and reasoning skills. You were completely 0wn3d today, but go back to DK's board and declare "victory", and give the high fives for really showing me good. But, thoughtful folks can easily verify for themselves who was right, and who was not telling the truth. The facts speak for themselves.

The internet was made so bodies of people could come togather to learn and share information. NOT to argue about some lunitic who NO ONE cares about! >;o

Chew on this, lets argue about domain names!

Not passing comment on him - but there is a big difference between your domain collection and your personality

Not at all. People have just been rubbed the wrong way and there are old grudges because of it. I think that stuff happens. Life is never entirely black or white. TRAFFIC seems to have done well, but it doesn't mean that Rick Swartz is a saint, or that he doesn't deserve a lot of credit or a lot of criticism. Lots of alternative opinions on that particular glass of water. A lot of facts and a lot of opinions. How it all influences each of us is in question.

I have a friend who swares an old boss was the devil incarnate. I on the other hand knew he pushed her buttons, and that she did what she felt she had to to protect her own position. To this day, I'd have lunch with her if she called me up, but I doubt he'd so much as spare the saliva to spit on her. Did she backstab him when he didn't deliver on certain development projects? Yup. I can see how it went down, sure... but sometimes bad things don't mean what we think they mean. On the other hand, I've warned a close friend of mine to stop working with another aquaintance whom I believe is completely inept. I don't hate the guy, but I think any business he works on is doomed to failure and I don't want my pal to waste his time like I have.

You can make up you mind about someone, but it still doesn't necessarily predict the future. In the end everyone still has to make up their own mind and deal with the consequences.

++++++++++++++++++++

That's absolutely absurd. That's not the kind of publicity that any manufacturer seeks.

Besides, the only people who read UDRP decisions are domain owners, lawyers, and cybersquatters.

Domains is an oddball industry.
