just had 4 recent internal pushes denied that tried to transfer out.
i have submitted a ticket. let's see if these dicks actually get back, experience with godaddy is poor, hence transferring everything out to Moniker.
may just report them to icann anyway, every little helps eh?
anyone got a link for this sort of thing?

its so annoying as at best i got to get moniker to resubmit the requests etc

Does anyone know where you can get Privacy and yet not have to go with GD ?. ?. Only reason I ever use GD is because they offer Privacy and that is useful for a few of my domains .

everyone offers privacy, but godaddy charge around $7 i think. go to Moniker.com, get dnf pricing structure installed on account by being member here and whois privacy will only cost $1 per domain.
basically transfer out of nodaddy to Moniker.com is the answer imo

that is if nodaddy release your names without locking down. w*nkers.
hope you're reading this d*cks. i posted them link

every web hosting help request has been ignored for months at godaddy.
If I call they tell me one thing, then i get someone else to call they say somethign else.
Maybe the web host support desk staff is now at the names division.
I like the nodaddy. if i can get privacy by moving to moniker i will.

Very good issues addressed here. Glad I'm not the only with the same feelings towards godaddy and enom on this.

If you feel your transfer to another registrar has been unjustly denied you can ask your registrar to file a 'request for enforcement' with verisign. I just did this for several transfers that were denied due to a registrant change. We happened to be the registrant and requesting registrar. I'm still awaiting the outcome but even if my request is denied if enough of these get filed it may force change.

i agree. good point

thats good thing about UK, with the office of fair trading, it is getting more and more power, but things are slow. if enough people complain justly against a company (no mateer how big) they can be made to cease to trade

Dear Guy ,

Thank you for contacting Online Support.

I understand you have a question about domains that you wish to transfer
from GoDaddy but are unable to due to a 60 day hold.

When you make a change to the Registered Name Holder you expressly and
voluntarily agree not to transfer your name for sixty days.

GoDaddy.com, Inc. takes domain security very seriously. Domain
hijackings frequently occur right after a change to the Registered Name
Holder. If we were to allow these hijacked domain names to immediately
transfer to another registrar, we would not be protecting our customer.

You may continue the transfer on 7/9/08 provided that the transfer is in
accordance with the agreement above.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.

Sincerely,

Dean P.

what's best way to put a rocket up these pricks arses? no wonder no serious domainer keeps keeps more han 'some' domains with tese pricks. along with a hundred other reasons

godaddy.com suck - never register domains there (index that)

Voluntarily? Now that is funny. Too bad they do not allow you to do anything until you check the box to "voluntarily" make the change.

I wonder what you should call other registrars that would charge you $20.00 USD per .com if Go daddy was not on the planet.
Not only would you see $20.00 per .com you might have even a few weeks to get support.

When I filed my request for enforcement with verisign they responded with the same "voluntary" arguement which of course is total BS as you can't make the change without checking the box. They even said they were nice enough to support a change to the registrant which according to them they don't have to do....oh and I almost forgot....they were kind enough to not charge me anything to make the change.

Why anyone would manage domains with GoDaddy or any of their other registrars such as Wild West Domains is beyond me.

No one said we shouldn't have Godaddy around. A little competition is what helps us get the low registration fees; however, for someone to become a bully and do as they wish is where a problem starts.

Adam swears by Godaddy and states he is moving his portfolio over to them (we'll have to wait and see if it happens), so hopefully having him in the door will help change things along.

Until then, Moniker is the way to go.

I used them briefly. To tell you the truth, I used to use Godaddy until Moniker. The only thing that drove me away from Godaddy was the 60 day rule after a push. I am sure others have their quirks as well. I am sure I would like Enom if they offered me a low price per registration :)

I think GoDaddy is shortsighted over this policy it must have cost them thousands of registrations because I don't think they realize how much it irks Domainers. They only need one other thing to happen and people move massive portfolios away. Plus for many domainers that one policy alone makes it very difficult for considering moving portfolios to GoDaddy.

Having said all that they must be doing something right as they will probably pass 25,000,000 registrations in the next month or so

Except that Danica Patrick ate gravel yesterday at Indianapolis 500 so Bob Parsons might be looking for another "hottie" for his T&A infomercials.

Try Fabulous.com $6.95 and the best security of domains that I have found. You choose your own security questions etc etc. Cannot fault them, never ever any problems.
