IE7 Installation

Has anyone had any problems installing IE7, such missing DLL's after install?

I had this problem when IE7 first came out and took the precaution of closing my Virus and ASW programs before installing. I restored my system to the day prior and went back to using IE6. Thank you.

I had no problems installing it, but it freezes my computer on random occasions. I think IE7 is pretty buggy. I'm done using it. Firefox is better anyways..

IE7 is much less of a memory hog than Firefox and with much less open bugs. There is much debate about which is better, but I can say I prefer IE7. I also have not had an issue since upgrading. Just make sure you get it through Windows Update and get all the updates.

My computer is a month old. It works fine with everything, except IE7. I'll probably just try to reinstall it.

Are you people installing beta versions or do you just not know how to configure your own computers.
Perhaps you should all buy Apple computers.

I've upgraded to IE7 on many computers to date and have yet to see a single issue.

I have both and they both work.
The thing I find the strangest is that I can use Firefox for 2 weeks...run ZoneAlarm daily and never have any spyware.

I can use IE6 or 7 and in 2 hours have 3 pieces of spyware.

That's fine...Just for the record, I did download IE7 from the Windows update, I read somewhere that IE7 conflicts with McAfee AntiVirus during install, but I disabled it, I might try completely uninstalling it, if that doest work, I'll give Firefox a try.

I'm working on removing McAfee now, their seems to be some files that dont want to uninstall.....I hate these AV programs!
