As you can now see in the thread, the 'nut is alive, well, enroute to Houston and back online. Sadly, however, I spotted this disturbing photograph of Sid on MSNBC. I never imagined he'd resort to this thing kind of thing!

Seriously though, I do want to thank you all again for your thoughtful wishes and assistance. Special thanks go John Holland of givesafe.com, DNF member Pamela, and Marc Ostrofsky and Bob Martin of Internet REIT L.P., each of whom were especially helpful.

And G-d bless the Internet, the most extraordinary communications tool in the history of all media. What might otherwise have taken months was accomplished in about a day. In the aftermath of the storm, I have no doubt that the Internet will emerge as the unsung hero in reuniting many families and friends.
