Hey there,

Could someone tell me if it's possible to change from phpBB to Invision Power Board without losing your database? Well, I'm pretty sure it is possible, but how is this done?
Thanks in advance :)

Yes, certainly! All you have to do is use one of the phpBB convertors listed at IPB's site.

Nice one!

:D

Has to be the most pleasant install process ever!

I'm having trouble getting a skin up.... I get the .tar into the right folder but in the ACP it doesn't register it........ is this because I have a free version of the software? Or am I doing something wrong? Who can help?

CHMOD the archive_in folder to 777?

And I assume you are using 1.3.1 and not 2.0?

Check the paths in the Admin CP. Make sure they are correct. They are most likely not. You may also want to check the conf_global.php file, and look at all the paths. I am almost 100% certian one of the paths is wrong.
